Late 19th/Early 20th C. Louis XVI–Style Mahogany Demilune Table w/Ormolu Mounts
Refined late 19th to early 20th century French Louis XVI–style demilune side table. Expertly crafted in mahogany veneer with satinwood inlay, this elegant piece features three bow-front drawers with hand-cut dovetail joinery and petite brass pulls. Gilt-bronze ormolu mounts embellish the corners, apron, and cabriole legs, terminating in gilt sabots. The half-moon top is encircled by a pierced brass gallery with heart-shaped detail, evoking the neoclassical grace of 18th-century French design.
An attractive and versatile accent table, ideal for a hall, dressing area, or formal living space, combining period craftsmanship with enduring decorative appeal.
Condition:
Good overall condition. Exhibits a water stain to the top along with old restorations and repairs. Minor surface wear and small veneer irregularities consistent with age. The piece remains sturdy and stable, with an appealing aged patina to wood and mounts.
