Navajo Homer J. Warren Stoneware Figures & Horse – Signed Hand Painted Set
Signed set of three stoneware sculptures by Homer J. Warren (1948–2002), noted Navajo folk artist celebrated for his hand-carved and hand-painted Southwestern figures. Each piece reflects Warren’s distinctive minimalist style—stoic, geometric forms painted in bold matte tones of black, turquoise, violet, and sienna. The two standing figures feature flowing cloaks, one accented with a white hat and feather, while the stylized horse bears a teal saddle and yarn bridle.
Warren’s work is prized among collectors of Native and Southwestern folk art for its serene presence and expressive simplicity, embodying the quiet dignity of the desert landscape. Each sculpture is signed “Homer J. Warren” or “HJW” on the underside.
