Vintage Hohner Chromonica 64 Professional Model I Harmonica w/ Case
A finely crafted M. Hohner Chromonica 64 “Professional Model I”, made in Germany. This four-octave chromatic harmonica (Model 280/64) was among the earliest professional-grade instruments of its type, first introduced around 1938. Designed for advanced musicians, it delivers a full 64-note range—four complete octaves—accessible through a smooth side-mounted slide button. The nickel-plated cover plates are engraved “Chromonica 64 / Chromatic Octaves / Professional Model I / M. Hohner Germany,” complemented by a brass mouthpiece and precision slide assembly.
The harmonica is presented in its original faux tortoiseshell-patterned wooden case, lined in cream velour with the classic red “HOHNER” mark inside the lid. Known for its warm tone and exceptional versatility, the Chromonica 64 remains a favorite among classical, jazz, and blues harmonica players. Condition
