Artesania Latina U.S. Constellation Wooden Ship Kit 1:85
Offered is an Artesania Latina U.S. Constellation wooden model ship kit, Ref. 20700, scale 1:85 (1 Ft = 12/85”), designed and photographed by López Chico and made in Spain. This edition, ©1997, represents the famed American frigate launched in 1798, one of the U.S. Navy’s original six warships.
The kit features double plank-on-bulkhead construction, pre-cut wooden parts, rigging thread, pre-sewn cloth sails, and brass fittings, allowing the builder to create an impressive museum-quality display model. When completed, the ship measures approximately 1035 mm (40-3/4") in length, 710 mm (27-15/16") in height, and 153 mm (6-1/32") in beam.
An advanced-level kit celebrated for its historical accuracy and craftsmanship, capturing the U.S.S. Constellation’s long and distinguished career from 1798 through her service as a training ship and eventual preservation in Baltimore Harbor. Increasingly collectible as an original 1997 release from Artesania Latina’s classic Wooden Kit / Maquette Bois / Holz-Bausatz series.
Condition:
Contents complete, new and factory sealed, New Old Stock example. Outer box shows moderate wear with visible creases, edge dents, and minor tears consistent with age and storage. Contents remain untouched and secure beneath original shrink wrap. Maker marked Artesania Latina ©1997.
