Early 20th C. Oak Saloon-Style Dining Set w/ Round Table & 4 Chairs
Early 20th-century saloon-style dining set featuring a solid oak round table on casters and four matching captain’s armchairs. The table includes three 9-inch leaves for extension and is supported by turned legs joined by cross stretchers. Each chair displays a curved spindle-back design and a contoured solid wood seat, typical of American craftsmanship from the 1900–1930 era. The warm medium-brown finish showcases the natural oak grain, making this an attractive ensemble for a farmhouse, rustic, or vintage-inspired interior.
Comparable solid oak sets from this period were crafted in the Early American and Colonial Revival traditions, blending utilitarian strength with timeless form. When restored, this set can serve beautifully as a daily dining table or as a distinctive statement piece reflecting early 20th-century saloon charm.
Condition:
Fair condition overall, with visible scuffs, scratches, dings, and other age-appropriate wear to the table and chairs. The tabletop was recently reattached and remains loose — reinforcement is recommended. One box stretcher rod is absent. The extension mechanism could not be opened to insert leaves at the time of inspection. All pieces are structurally sound, with expected surface wear consistent with decades of use.
