14K Gold Black Cultured Pearl Necklace – 18", Grey-Green Overtone, Appraised
Elegant strand of fifty-eight cultured black pearls, measuring approximately 6.8–7.5 mm in diameter and strung to an overall length of 18 inches. Each pearl displays a rich greyish-black body color with rose to greenish overtones, producing a beautiful iridescence under light. The pearls are well matched in size and tone, with good lustre and nacre thickness. The necklace secures with a 14K yellow gold filigree safety clasp, stamped “14K.”
Accompanied by an original 1990 appraisal certificate from Jewellery Appraisal Services, Toronto, which valued the necklace at $1,850 retail at that time. Adjusted for inflation, this equates to approximately $4,400 USD in 2026.
Condition
In very good vintage condition, showing gentle wear consistent with age. The pearls retain a strong natural lustre and vibrant overtones, with only minor natural surface irregularities visible under close inspection.
