Early 20th C. Display Cabinet with Glass Door, Brass Hardware & Provenance
Early 20th-century mahogany display cabinet featuring a single glass-paneled door with original glass, enclosing three fully removable glass shelves above three tongue-and-groove drawers. Retains original brass hardware and stands on original casters, offering both practicality and period authenticity. The cabinet’s rich mahogany tone and balanced proportions make it ideal for showcasing china, books, or collectibles in a classic or transitional setting.
The reverse bears a hand-written inscription reading “E. E. Wands, Lisbon ND via Fargo.” This notation most likely served as a shipping or ownership label, identifying an early 20th-century North Dakota owner and referencing the Fargo railway route used for delivery.
Condition:
Good overall condition with visible scuffs and scratches from use throughout, not distracting when displayed. Glass is original and intact. Hardware and casters appear original; drawers slide smoothly. No key present.
Dimensions:
Overall: 61" H × 26" W × 13 ¾" D
