Original Therm-a-Rest Lite Chair Kit with RidgeRest foam insert, made in the U.S.A. by Cascade Designs (Seattle, WA). This vintage camping seat system converts a sleeping pad—or in this case, comes pre-loaded with a closed-cell RidgeRest pad—into a comfortable, portable chair with back support. Made of durable ripstop nylon in a bold purple color, it features adjustable side straps and a reinforced seat base. Label dated Rev. 6/94 confirms this as a 1990s model.
This kit includes a RidgeRest foam pad for lightweight functionality—no inflatable pad required—making it ideal for minimalist camping, hiking, or festivals. The included original gray stuff sack allows for compact storage and carry. A rare early Therm-a-Rest accessory, collectible for vintage outdoor gear enthusiasts or perfectly usable today for backcountry seating.
