Description

Judy Collins Vinyl LP Lot (4) – Elektra Mono/Stereo Pressings, 1964–1979

A curated lot of four classic Judy Collins LPs spanning her most influential years with Elektra Records, including both mono and stereo pressings. These albums capture Collins’ evolution from traditional folk roots to orchestral pop interpretation and mainstream crossover.

Included Titles:

  1. In My Life (1966, Elektra EKL-320, Mono, Gold Label) – Baroque-folk milestone featuring early Leonard Cohen and Beatles covers, arranged by Joshua Rifkin. Mono pressing with textured jacket and sepia-toned artwork.

  2. Who Knows Where the Time Goes (1968, Elektra EKS-74033, Stereo, Red Label) – Considered one of her finest works, with “Someday Soon,” “Bird on the Wire,” and the title track penned by Sandy Denny. Features Stephen Stills on guitar.

  3. The Judy Collins Concert (1964, Elektra EKL-280, Mono) – Early live recording from Town Hall, NYC, showcasing Collins’ folk repertoire and intimate stage presence. Includes songs by Dylan and Paxton, with historic liner notes.

  4. Hard Times for Lovers (1979, Elektra 5E-171, Stereo) – A bold, late-career release with adult contemporary production and cover photography by Francesco Scavullo. Includes “Desperado” and film themes from Ice Castles and The Promise.

A compelling cross-section of Collins’ artistry—from her Greenwich Village origins to pop sophistication—ideal for both new collectors and seasoned vinyl enthusiasts.

Condition (All Records Visually Graded):

Records range from Good to Very Good condition. All show some surface scuffing and light hairlines, consistent with age and prior use. No warps or deep gouges noted; labels are clean and legible. Sleeves show moderate edge and ring wear, with rubbing and occasional corner wear, but remain fully intact. The mono In My Life and Judy Collins Concert albums present especially well for their age.

Dimensions:

Standard 12-inch LP format.
