Pair of Early 20th C. Industrial Oak Drafting Stools on Casters, Adjustable Backs
Pair of early 20th-century industrial drafting stools featuring solid oak seats and turned legs joined by double stretchers. Each stool includes a thick 2" seat and an adjustable curved backrest supported by iron rods with wing-nut screw hardware. Mounted on early steel casters for mobility. The metal base components bear a partial Bethlehem Steel stamp—indicating the source of the steel, a noted U.S. foundry supplying industrial furniture parts of the era.
These stools exemplify early American industrial craftsmanship, blending utilitarian design with warm, time-earned patina. Perfect for use in a studio, kitchen, or as distinctive display pieces.
Condition: Good, with scratches, scuffing, and finish wear/loss consistent with age. One stool shows a previous stretcher repair; both remain sturdy and functional.
Dimensions: 39 ½" H x 15 ½" W x 19" D
