Talavera Moctezuma hand-painted pumpkin jar, signed “R.J.” and marked “Hecho en Mexico Talavera Moctezuma” on the base. Produced in Puebla, Mexico in the late 20th century, this large-scale decorative piece showcases vibrant traditional floral and foliate motifs in orange, green, blue, and red with bold black outlining.

At an impressive 17 1/2 inches tall and 15 inches in diameter, this substantial 13 lb jar is far larger than typical Talavera forms. The sculpted dark green stem lid completes the classic pumpkin silhouette, making it a standout seasonal centerpiece or statement décor piece. Signed examples in this oversized figural form are less commonly encountered.

Condition:
