Emerson Type 2250B 10" Oscillating Desk Fan – 1930s Maker Marked, Tested
Authentic Emerson Electric Co. Type 2250B 10" oscillating desk fan, manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri, circa late 1930s. This compact and powerful model features a cast-iron base, steel four-blade assembly, and wire safety cage — all finished in classic black enamel. The fan bears the original Emerson maker’s medallion, marked “Type 2250B, 110V–60CY.” A hallmark of Depression-era craftsmanship, it reflects the durable, industrial design that established Emerson as one of America’s pioneering electric appliance makers.
This example is fully functional and tested, oscillating smoothly with steady airflow. A superb display piece for collectors of early electrical devices or industrial décor, combining mechanical precision with timeless vintage style.
