Pair Fitzí Talavera Catrina Figures – Dolores Hidalgo Folk Art
Pair of hand-painted ceramic “Catrina” figures by Fitzí, crafted in 2020 in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato (GTO), Mexico. Each skeletal lady is depicted in a flowing traditional dress decorated with vibrant Talavera-style floral motifs in cobalt blue, red, orange, and multicolor glazes. These striking works celebrate the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) tradition, uniting cultural symbolism with the distinctive folk artistry for which Dolores Hidalgo ceramics are renowned.
Both figures are maker-marked “Fitzí – Hecho en México, Dolores Hidalgo, GTO.” A colorful and expressive pair ideal for collectors of Mexican folk art and Talavera-inspired pottery.
