Certified handmade Milas wool-on-wool runner rug, produced in Turkey and verified by the Nevşehir Museum Directorate. Measuring 9 feet 8 inches × 2 feet 10 inches, this elegant piece features the traditional geometric and botanical motifs characteristic of Milas weaving from southwestern Anatolia. Handwoven on SENTEZ looms using fine wool for both pile and foundation, it displays warm tones of ivory, camel, and terracotta — a palette derived from natural dyes typical of the region.
The Milas district has been renowned for its carpet craftsmanship since the 16th century, when Yörük and Turkmen artisans first developed these intricate patterns. Known for their durability and harmony of design, Milas rugs embody centuries of Anatolian textile heritage. This runner comes with a Certificate of Origin (Stock No. 664983) confirming its authenticity and handcrafted nature.
Condition
In very good condition overall, with minimal surface wear. A subtle lightened area on one end from cleaning is visible under certain angles but does not detract from presentation. Colors remain rich, the pile even, and both fringes and edges are intact.
