Mango Wood Chakki-Form Coffee Table — Hand-Carved Floral Apron, Rajasthani Style
A solid mango wood chakki-form low coffee table handcrafted in the Rajasthani tradition, its circular tray top with a 3.75" raised rim echoing the shape of the stone grain-grinding mills that inspired the form. The pieced panel surface displays the wood's characteristic grain variation and warm honey tones, while the deep apron carries continuous hand-carved geometric floral lattice — overlapping petal forms interrupted by square cartouches at each leg junction. The four legs are turned with baluster profiles and taper to square pad feet.
CONDITION
Excellent. Carving is crisp and fully intact throughout the apron, and the tabletop surface is clean with no remarkable damage. Natural color variation across the pieced top panels is inherent to mango wood construction, not a flaw.
