Kokopelli Steel Sculpture 48" — Copper Patina, Brass Accents, Desert Motifs
The Kokopelli is the ancient trickster-god of fertility — a humpbacked flute player whose song was said to coax seeds from the earth, bring rain to parched desert soil, and make women fertile. For over a thousand years his image has been pressed into canyon walls, always dancing, always playing, always arriving with spring on his back. The flame-patinated finish shifts between copper, slate blue, and warm brown, and the torso carries weld-bead cactus and desert flora on both faces — the land itself inscribed on the body of the one who makes it bloom.
At about 4' tall, Kokopelli commands whatever space he occupies. The brass-toned feet root him to the earth while the headdress reaches skyward — exactly the posture of a god who belongs to both.
CONDITION
Good. Flame patina is vivid across the body, with copper, blue, and brown tones reflecting the character of outdoor display. Moderate rust on the tubular base rods; oxidation spotting on the legs and lower torso.
