Carved Wood Nritya Ganapati Panel — Polychrome, 72"H, Wall-Mount Ready

This large-format hand-carved and hand-painted wood relief panel depicts Nritya Ganapati — the "Happy Dancer," the 15th of Ganesha's 32 sacred forms. In this most vibrant form, Ganesha dances under the Kalpavriksha, the divine wish-fulfilling tree, embodying joy, cosmic rhythm, and mastery of the performing arts. The figure is carved in high relief with four arms, one foot raised in mid-dance, rendered in ochre, gold, pink, and red polychrome pigments. A densely carved ground of acanthus scrollwork and lotus foliage fills the field, contained within a red scroll-pattern border. Ganesha is among the most widely venerated figures across Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain traditions — revered as the remover of obstacles, patron of the arts, and deity of wisdom and new beginnings, invoked at the start of any important venture or ceremony. At six feet tall, this panel commands a wall rather than decorates one — suited equally to a private shrine, a yoga or meditation studio, or a statement interior.

The panel is constructed in two joined wood sections and fitted on the reverse with two steel ring-mount hangers at the upper corners, ready for installation.

CONDITION

Excellent. Polychrome paint is vivid and fully intact with no remarkable damage. Minor age-consistent surface grime is present in carved recesses, consistent with display history.
