Timken Roller Bearing Steel Conversion Chart Sign – Canton Ohiontic

Authentic vintage Timken Roller Bearing Company steel shop reference chart from Canton, Ohio. This industrial wall chart displays fractional measurements from 1/64 through 1 inch alongside their decimal equivalents, providing a quick conversion guide for machinists, mechanics, and engineers. The sign features Timken’s classic slogan “Wherever Wheels and Shafts Turn” with an illustrated tapered roller bearing at the top, set against a bold orange background for high visibility in a workshop environment.

Produced as a practical tool for factories, machine shops, and service garages, charts like this were distributed by Timken to assist workers with precise measurements when working with shafts, bearings, and mechanical components. The clear layout and durable steel construction made it ideal for daily industrial use.

Founded in 1899 by Henry Timken, the Timken Roller Bearing Company became a major supplier of tapered roller bearings used in automobiles, railroads, aviation, and heavy equipment. Original shop charts such as this have become desirable pieces of industrial advertising and automotive history, often displayed today in garages, workshops, and collections of vintage machinery memorabilia.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and shop use. The surface shows scratches, scuffs, light staining, and edge wear. Mounting holes are present from prior display, and a lightly scratched name (“JW Hulswizer”) appears near the top. The colors remain strong and the chart is fully readable. Please review photos closely for details.

Dimensions:
22 x 13 3/4 inches
