Statton Old Towne Walnut Nest of 3 Tables — Faux Bamboo Legs
A graduated set of three nesting tables from Statton Furniture's Old Towne Collection, produced in Hagerstown, Maryland. Each table is built in solid walnut — an uncommon wood for Statton, whose production centered primarily on Appalachian cherry — and features three slender faux-bamboo turned legs joined by a flat medial stretcher and terminating on swept arched trestle feet. Scalloped apron cutouts frame each top, which carries a gently molded edge. The underside of the largest table retains the original Statton "Old Towne" maker's stamp. Statton operated as a family-owned, bench-made American manufacturer from 1926 until closing in 2008; pieces are no longer in production.
CONDITION
Good. All three frames are structurally sound with joints intact and no repairs noted. The 24" table top shows scuffs and scratches to the surface; the 25" table top displays noticeable fading. Light scuffing present across the set consistent with age and use.
