10½" Navajo Wedding Basket — Coiled Spiral, Amber & Black
Navajo wedding basket worked in a two-color concentric spiral design, using undyed golden amber fiber against dark brown-black in broad, sweeping bands that radiate from a tight center point to the outer rim. The pattern is bolder and more open than typical wedding basket work, with the dark bands carrying roughly equal visual weight to the natural fiber — giving the piece a strong graphic quality. Construction is tight coiled work throughout, with a flat herringbone-wrapped rim and even, consistent coil spacing visible on the reverse.
CONDITION
Good, with age-appropriate wear throughout. Weave structure is intact and the form holds its shallow bowl shape well.
