Hopi Wicker Kachina Plaque Basket — Polychrome, 12" Geometric Design
Circular wicker plaque woven in the Hopi Third Mesa tradition, featuring a central geometric Kachina-style motif worked in sage green and natural undyed fiber, framed by concentric radiating bands in terracotta, black, yellow-gold, purple-gray, and cream. Construction is coiled wicker with a tightly wrapped dark fiber rim — a hallmark of Third Mesa production. The bold polychrome palette and rectangular center design are characteristic of Hopi ceremonial and decorative plaques.
CONDITION
Good, with age-appropriate wear throughout. Color retention is strong across the dyed bands.
