Coca-Cola Bottle-Shape Tin Thermometer Sign — TCA Tru-Temp, 1950s, USA
Die-cut embossed tin advertising sign in the shape of the Coca-Cola contour bottle, produced in the 1950s-1960s for point-of-sale display in diners, gas stations, and corner stores. The face is lithographed in full color with the script logo and "TRADE-MARK®" below; a TCA Tru-Temp glass-tube thermometer is mounted center, reading dual Fahrenheit and Celsius scales from -30° to 110°F. The reverse is finished in solid lime green with "MADE IN U.S.A." embossed near the base.
CONDITION Good. Color lithography retains strong vibrancy and embossing is crisp throughout with no structural damage. Two small paint marks are present on the surface, and a minor yellowish spot appears near the 10°F mark on the thermometer face.
