Antique Adlake TRRA Railroad Switch Lock & Key with Chain - Working
A true piece of American railroad history—this antique Adlake switch lock comes complete with its original chain and matching brass key, both marked for the TRRA (Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis). Built for life on the rails, the lock features a rugged iron body, riveted construction, and classic swing shackle design used to secure track switches in place.
The brass key, stamped ADLAKE / 9910 and TRRA, adds another layer of authenticity, while the latch marking “K14” reflects internal railroad control use. Fully functional and tested, this set carries the unmistakable look of honest service—weathered, sturdy, and full of character.
Condition:
Good condition overall; fully functional and tested. The lock and chain show rust, oxidation, and age-appropriate wear from years of use. Markings remain visible, and the mechanism operates smoothly. A character-rich, authentic example.
Dimensions:
Lock: 3 1/2 x 3 inches
Chain: 13 inches
