A matched pair of barrel-form ceramic garden stools covered in a vivid chartreuse glaze. Each piece follows the classic Chinese drum stool format: a domed pierced top, raised boss-stud banding at the shoulder and base, and a pierced coin-motif panel on the body — derived from traditional Chinese cash coins, a long-standing symbol of good fortune. The glaze is applied solidly in a single high-gloss color with no painted decoration, letting the sculptural relief work carry the design.
Both stools are included in this lot and present as a matched pair.
CONDITION Good. Both stools show signs of outdoor use — light scuffing and minor glaze pitting along the base rings — but no chips, cracks, or structural damage. Glaze color remains vibrant on both pieces.
