Antique Hardwood Arabian Camel Saddle — Star & Crescent, Leather Lashing
Antique hardwood camel saddle seat in the Arabian/Islamic tradition, likely Egyptian or Near Eastern in origin. The contoured double-plank seat is flanked by a forward-sweeping crescent-blade horn at the front and a conical finial post at the rear. Four splayed profile-cut legs carry applied star-and-crescent steel medallions and bands of graduated round-head studs, with decoratively engraved steel sabots at each foot. Original leather lashing with turned wooden ball terminators secures the lower crossbar assembly throughout.
CONDITION
Good; age-appropriate wear consistent with antique use. Finish wear and scuffing present across seat surface and legs, with a faded stain patch near seat center and heavier finish loss along the front post shaft.
