Iron Barrel Cactus Garden Sculpture — Red & Blue Blooms
large-scale handcrafted iron barrel cactus sculpture from the northern Mexico artisan tradition — a globe form built from individually shaped iron pads in deep lacquered green with yellow-green gradients and raised spine detailing along every rib. Up close, the surface work is extraordinary: each pad hammered and finished to capture the rounded, succulent geometry of a real barrel cactus, with iron rivets standing in for areoles. The whole form sits low and wide, grounded and solid, the way a mature barrel cactus reads in a desert landscape.
Two blooms crown the piece — a red-orange flower open at the apex and a cobalt blue bloom with a yellow interior nestled into the side, both hand-shaped from individually formed iron petals. They are the punctuation: vivid, unexpected, and exactly right.
CONDITION
Good. Color is vibrant throughout with strong visual presence. Minor paint wear, light oxidation, and surface imperfections consistent with outdoor display. Structurally solid.
