Vintage 6' Wrought Iron Floor Candelabra — Olde World Construction
A large Spanish Colonial Revival floor candelabra forged from 1" square solid iron stock throughout — substantial at 40 lbs, and it reads that way in a room. Five saucer-cup arms branch from a densely scrolled crown of tight volutes and curls; the central shaft runs a full-length barley twist down to a three-leg tripod base with outswept scroll feet. Hammer texture is visible on the arm surfaces and cup edges, consistent with hand-forged production. The warm rust-brown patina is applied antiquing by design — a deliberate finish treatment standard in Mexican Colonial decorative ironwork, not age-related deterioration. Unmarked.
At six feet tall, this piece anchors a great room, hacienda entry, or covered portal with equal authority — and pulls double duty in event and ceremony staging where floor candelabras of this scale are actively sought.
Lot includes five 3.5" dia. × 3" H pillar candles, unburned, as shown.
CONDITION
Very Good. The piece stands firmly on all three legs, all five arms are straight and secure, and the scroll work is intact with no breaks or missing elements. Patinated finish is intentional; no unintended damage noted.
