German Beer Steins & Petrópolis Mugs Collection of 4
Four-piece collection of vintage beer steins and souvenir mugs, combining traditional German stoneware craftsmanship with Brazilian commemorative pieces. Two German steins feature classic relief decoration—one a colorful, hand-painted example with floral motifs, figural scenes, and a pewter lid, the other a monochrome tavern scene with architectural detail. Base markings include a “Cuckoo Clock – Wiesbaden” style mark associated with Thewalt and a “Western Germany” stamp. The two ceramic mugs are souvenir pieces from Petrópolis and Teresópolis, Brazil, decorated with crests and stylized lettering.
Condition
Good — all four pieces present without chips or major cracks. The lidded stein has two visible hairline cracks as shown. All pieces exhibit crazing and light surface wear consistent with age and use. Bases show minor discoloration.
