Mexican Hand-Painted Glass Pitcher & Tumbler Set — Siesta, Cobalt Rim, 7 Pc
A large bulbous bola pitcher and six matching tumblers sharing a hand-painted desert scene: a reclining siestero in an orange sombrero and red serape, flanked by saguaro and nopal cactus, all rendered in vivid enamel on a frosted clear glass body banded in cobalt blue. The cobalt rim and handle are applied glass — each piece blown, shaped, and finished by hand, with slight variation in the painted figures from tumbler to tumbler that confirms handmade origin.
The lot is complete — one pitcher and six tumblers — all in excellent condition with no losses to the enamel decoration. The siesta motif is one of the most enduring in Mexican folk export ware and carries strong recognition among collectors and nostalgia buyers alike. Complete painted sets in this condition are increasingly hard to find intact.
CONDITION
Excellent. No chips, cracks, or paint loss on any piece. Enamel decoration is vivid and fully intact across all seven items. No damage to note.
