5pc S. Sternau Copper Chafing Dish Set - Pat. Jan 12 1892
Antique S. Sternau & Co. copper chafing dish set, a charming 5-piece grouping dating to the late 19th–early 20th century. The main dish features a domed lid, turned wood handle, and integrated spirit burner, all supported by an elegant tripod stand. The rim is stamped “Pat. Jan. 12, 1892,” and the underside bears the Sternau New York maker’s mark, tying it to one of Brooklyn’s notable makers of fine copper household wares.
Accompanying the chafing dish are four coordinating pieces: a 4.75" hanging pot with brass chain, a 3.75" footed pot, and a matching 3.5" cream and sugar set. With its warm copper glow, brass accents, and classic form, this set brings a refined antique touch to entertaining or display. A cohesive and visually striking collection for copperware enthusiasts or period décor.

Good antique condition with scratching, small dents, scuffing, tarnish, and clear signs of use consistent with age. Interior surfaces show wear from prior use. Structurally solid and displays beautifully.
