Brecciated Agate Specimen — Burro Creek AZ, Red & Amber
A striking brecciated agate specimen from Burro Creek, Arizona, displaying the bold color range this locality is known for: rounded nodular masses of deep oxblood red and honey amber locked in a blue-gray chalcedony matrix that threads through the piece like a cracked glaze. One broad face has been worked to reveal the full interior patterning — the shift from blood-dark silica to warm golden tones plays differently in every light. Scattered black manganese dendrites add texture across both the polished face and the pale chalky cortex reverse.
The handwritten collector's locality notation on the cortex confirms Burro Creek, AZ provenance. The specimen sits flat on its natural base and displays without a stand.
CONDITION
Good. The polished display face presents with strong color and intact luster throughout. Natural edge chipping and cortex weathering consistent with field collection; see images for details.
