Agua Nueva Agate Slab — Druzy Pocket, Carnelian Banding
A hand-polished slab of Agua Nueva agate from Chihuahua, Mexico, displaying the chaotic swirling loops, floating eyes, and paisley-like banding that define this material's collector reputation. Carnelian-red bands curl around two dark mineral inclusions while a central druzy quartz pocket exposes a glittering bed of white and lavender microcrystals. The lower register transitions through blue-gray chalcedony into a richly textured orange and rust dendrite zone. The reverse retains its natural unworked matrix.
The combination of complex banding, multiple eyes, and an open geode pocket in a single specimen is exactly what serious agate collectors pursue — display-worthy on a collector's shelf, a lapidary reference collection, or a designer's accent table.
CONDITION
Good, as shown. The polished face is bright with strong luster and no cracks. The natural matrix perimeter shows typical rough breaks and minor edge chips inherent to field collection and slab processing.
