Amethyst Crystal Cluster — Copper-Bearing Matrix, Iron Oxide Inclusions
An amethyst crystal cluster presenting multiple sharply terminated points in a soft lavender-to-pale-violet palette, graduating to colorless quartz at the base zone. The crystals display well-defined prismatic striations and natural iron oxide inclusions distributed through the larger terminations — a geological hallmark of naturally formed, field-collected material. The host matrix is dark gray with a prominent teal copper mineral (consistent with chrysocolla) running along the underside base, placing this specimen in the tradition of copper-district quartz prized by serious collectors. The association of amethyst with copper-mineralized host rock is documented from Arizona and New Mexico copper districts and adds documentary value beyond the crystals alone.
The cluster sits flat and stable without a stand, displaying well from multiple angles.
CONDITION
Crystal terminations are intact and sharp throughout with no observed cleaved points.
