This sterling silver bird pin is a well-made example of mid-20th century Navajo sand-cast silverwork. The composition flows from a heart-shaped wing through a spiraling open body and into a stylized head with crescent crest, pointed beak, and a textured sunburst eye — all rendered in a single continuous form that reflects a skilled hand working directly in the metal.
