Mexican Santo Niño de Atocha Tin Nicho Frame
Vintage Mexican nicho wall hanging featuring a devotional image of Santo Niño de Atocha, seated and holding his traditional attributes. The image is set behind glass and surrounded by decorative panels, while the frame itself showcases reverse-painted glass accents in rich gold tones with red floral motifs. The outer structure is crafted from pressed steel (hojalata), highlighted by a scalloped crest and side rosettes that give it a bold, traditional folk art presence.
A classic example of Mexican religious folk art, this piece blends printed imagery with handcrafted metalwork and painted glass. Ideal for collectors or as a meaningful decorative wall accent.
Condition:
