Description

Fitz and Floyd Classics Large Turkey Tureen with Ladle, Harvest Motif

Hand-painted ceramic turkey tureen by Fitz and Floyd Classics, modeled as a full-bodied tom in display posture with fanned tail in graduated bands of ochre, amber, plum, green, and yellow. The base is built up with applied corn, grapes, gourds, and autumn leaves around the bird's feet, and the lid finial features a sculpted grape cluster with a curling vine leaf. Underside carries the Fitz and Floyd Classics black backstamp with the original "Hand Crafted in China" foil label.

Lot includes the tureen body, fitted lid, and matching cream ceramic feather-handled ladle.

CONDITION

Excellent overall with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted to the tureen, lid, or ladle. Glaze is bright and the modeled details remain crisp throughout. Original foil label is intact with light age toning.
