Art Deco Cocktail Cabinet — Lighted, Mahogany Veneer, Bar Fittings

A fitted British Art Deco cocktail cabinet in solids and veneers, built around the flame-figured mahogany faces and stepped, barrel-shoulder silhouette the period favored. The serpentine bow-front base carries two bottom drawers; the upper section adds two dovetail drawers flanking the central bar compartment, two hinged cabinet doors, and two sliding etched glass panels bearing an abstract modernist motif of arcing stems and spheres. Aluminum filigree hardware — matching round pulls and elongated escutcheons — runs throughout in a scrolled floral pattern consistent with British production of the late 1930s to early 1950s.

The interior is purpose-built and lighted, with the switch housed in the cabinet door. The central compartment opens to a burl-lined bar bay with a fold-down shelf bearing a cocktail graphic, a chrome cocktail mechanism, copper-tone bottle rail, and slatted bottle rack. The lot includes twelve hors d'oeuvres forks and one juicer.

CONDITION Fair. The lighted interior functions and all doors, drawers, and mechanisms operate; the burl lining, chrome fittings, and painted shelf surface are intact. The exterior shows some cosmetic wear throughout: scratching, chipping, scuffing, fading, and finish loss across some veneer faces, most pronounced at the cornice and plinth edges. One interior shelf is absent.
