Prickly Pear Cactus Iron Birdbath with Red Ceramic Basin, Signed NJ 2021
Sculptural garden birdbath built on a tapered iron tripod base, the legs framing a welded sheet-metal prickly pear with oxidized green-brown pads and bright red ceramic fruits. The basin is a separate red-glazed ceramic dish with a raised spiral motif accented in turquoise, signed NJ and dated 1.19.21 to the underside.
Two-piece construction — the ceramic bowl lifts free of the iron stand for transport or seasonal storage.
CONDITION
Good overall with honest signs of outdoor display. The iron base shows uniform oxidation and surface rust consistent with weathered patina, and the ceramic basin carries light mineral deposits within the well. No chips or cracks noted to the ceramic.
