Mid-Century Wrought Iron Hairpin Leg Plant Stand with Mesh Tray Top
Atomic-era plant stand or side table built from wrought iron, with splayed hairpin legs terminating in ball feet and a rectangular expanded-metal mesh tray top framed by tubular gallery rails on two sides. The silhouette reads pure 1950s — sculptural, airy, and unmistakably of its moment, in the vocabulary of Tony Paul and Maurizio Tempestini garden furniture of the period.
CONDITION
Good structural condition with the original dark finish intact across most surfaces. Surface rust and oxidation are present on the mesh top and along the framework, consistent with age and outdoor use. Legs stand firm with no breaks or repairs noted. A fresh coat of paint will revive this for a another half century.
