Chase Art Deco Heart-Form Chrome Trays with Butterscotch Bakelite Ring Handles
A pair of Chase Brass & Copper Co. heart-shaped serving trays in polished chrome, each fitted with an upright butterscotch Bakelite ring handle secured by a coiled chrome collar and twin slotted screws. The larger tray reads as a stylized half-heart with a single rounded lobe; the smaller companion piece is a full heart form. Both carry the Chase centaur mark to the underside, placing production in the 1930s alongside the firm's celebrated Walter Von Nessen and Russel Wright designs.
Lot includes both trays as shown.
CONDITION
Good with honest utensil wear. Both trays show fine surface scratches and light scuffing across the chrome fields, visible under raking light, with the Bakelite handles intact and retaining warm butterscotch tone. No dents, no cracks to the Bakelite, hardware tight.
