Delta 23-197 8" Variable Speed Bench Grinder on Cast Iron Pedestal Stand

Delta Power Equipment Corporation Model 23-197 eight-inch variable speed bench grinder mounted to a heavy cast iron pedestal stand with three-point floor base. The grinder runs on a 120V AC, 5.0 amp, 60 Hz induction motor with variable speed range of 2,000–3,400 RPM, fitted with a 5/8" arbor accepting 8" x 1" wheels. Features include dual cast iron wheel guards with adjustable tool rests and clear acrylic eye shields, blue locking knobs, an integrated gooseneck work light (40W max bulb) mounted between the wheels, a front-mounted on/off rocker switch with removable lockout key for safety, and a calibrated speed dial marked L–H. The cast aluminum motor housing carries the Delta label and CSA certification (Cat. No. 23-197, Serial No. 17B 040877, manufactured June 2017, made in China).

Lot includes the Delta 23-197 grinder, the cast iron pedestal stand with three-point floor base and mounting plate, the integrated gooseneck work lamp with bulb, both cast iron wheel guards, both clear acrylic eye shields, both adjustable tool rests with blue locking knobs, the factory-installed Delta Type A 36 N 5 V metal grinding wheel and a Snap-On C/P 7A-MED wheel mounted to the opposite side, a spare unused Delta Type A 36 N 5 V metal grinding wheel (8 x 1 x 5/8"), the on/off lockout key, and the attached three-prong grounded power cord.

CONDITION

Good and fully functional; tested and operational at variable speeds. Light shop dust and grinding residue across the housing, guards, and stand, with minor surface scuffing to the painted black guards and pedestal base. Mounted wheels show normal use wear consistent with a working tool; the spare wheel appears unused.
