1970s Aries Leather & Brass Three-Piece Desk Set

Three-piece executive desk suite by Aries of Mexico City in saddle-tan bovine leather with substantial brass piano hinges and capped corners. The folding desk pad opens to reveal embossed Spanish day-of-the-week organizer slots (Lunes, Martes, Miércoles, Jueves, Viernes) flanking a central blotter panel, paired with a hinged letter holder and a hinged notepad portfolio fitted with an Embassy pad.

Each piece carries the Aries maker's mark reading "Aries M.R. Hecho en México Piel Bovino." Aries was founded in Mexico City in 1949 by Carlos Díaz González, building a reputation through the 1960s and 1970s for hand-stitched bovine leather goods supplied to luxury hotels, embassies, and executive offices throughout Latin America and the United States. Construction details — the architectural brass piano hinges with capped finials, the matched leather grain across all three components, and the typography of the maker's stamp — are consistent with Aries production of the 1970s. ⚑ Exact production year not confirmed by date code.

CONDITION
