Vintage Replogle World Premier Series 12" Illuminated Globe, LeRoy Tolman Cartography

Replogle Globes, Inc. World Premier Series 12-inch illuminated desk globe, cartography by LeRoy M. Tolman, made in the U.S.A. The antique-tinted oceans, full political coloration, eagle-crested World Premier cartouche, and ornate Legend cartouche are hallmarks of Replogle's premium tabletop line, set within a brass-finished half meridian with full degree calibrations and a fleur-de-lis motif tracing the equator band. Place names including Myanmar, Kazakhstan, and the Federated States of Micronesia date the cartography to the early 1990s.

The sphere pivots over a turned brass collar atop a swirled cream and faux amber onyx pedestal base. Inline rocker switch activates the internal incandescent lamp, which warms the cartography to a deep amber glow when illuminated — functioning as both a reference globe and an ambient lamp. A staple of mid-century to late-century executive desks, library studies, and traditional interiors.

CONDITION

Excellent. Sphere is clean with crisp printing, vivid cartouches, and no notable abrasions; brass-finished meridian and base hardware show only light handling marks. Light functions correctly via the inline switch, and the onyx base is free of chips along the visible edges.
