Antique 1940s Shabby Chic Wall Shelf, Carved Crown Crest & Scrolled Sides
A three-tier hanging wall shelf in solid wood, finished in cream-white paint with a heavily crackled patina across the back panel that lends genuine shabby chic character. The piece features a fan-carved crown crest, pierced fretwork sides with arched and scrolled motifs, and shaped scroll feet that extend below the bottom shelf.
Construction and styling are consistent with a 1940s production date ⚑, the painted finish appearing original or early to the piece.
CONDITION
Good overall and structurally sturdy. Paint is chipped throughout with losses along edges and corners exposing the wood beneath, and the back panel shows pronounced vertical crackling consistent with age-appropriate wear.
