10 Ft Folded Steel Bird Sculpture — Modernist Outdoor Yard Art

The geometry draws from the origami-bird vocabulary that defines contemporary yard sculpture, but the execution is hand-fabricated rather than machined: each panel cut and folded individually, joined directly to the post, with weld scars and bend lines visible up close. The white enamel finish has weathered against the elements to expose warm oxidation across the wings, the post, and the rebar cross base — a patina that reads as character rather than neglect, particularly when the silhouette is placed against open sky.

The lot includes the sculpture, the tubular support post, and a removable rebar cross base for freestanding installation in soil, gravel, or on a flat hardscape. Unsigned. CONDITION Good. Structurally sound, with the sculpture standing securely on its removable base and all welded joints intact. Paint loss and surface oxidation are present throughout — concentrated along edges and on the support post — with minor sheet metal tearing and small voids visible at the bird-to-post junctions and light bending at the wing tips, as shown in close-up photos.
