1960s Mattel Hot Wheels Redline — Beatnik Bandit, Splittin' Image, Twin Mill+++
Six original Redline-era Hot Wheels from the foundational 1967–1968 Mattel castings, all riding on red-stripe wheels and finished in Spectraflame paint. The group includes the Beatnik Bandit (purple, ©1967, Hong Kong base, Ed Roth licensed design), Splittin' Image (hot pink, ©1968), Twin Mill (lime, ©1968), McLaren M6A (olive, ©1968), Lola GT70 (dark green, ©1968), and Custom Camaro (red, ©1968, Hong Kong base). Base markings are legible across all six and confirm period production.
These are the castings that built the Hot Wheels collector market — Harry Bentley Bradley and Ira Gilford designs from Mattel's first two production years, when Spectraflame paint and red-line wheels set the standard the brand has chased ever since. Condition across the lot is played-with rather than collector-grade, making this a strong group for a restorer, a parts donor, or a buyer who wants the right names without the mint-condition premium.
CONDITION
Fair overall. All six show scratches, scuffing, finish wear and paint loss consistent with childhood play. Three of the six are missing one wheel each as shown. Spectraflame colors remain vivid where present; base plates are intact and markings legible.
