Description

1982-S United States Proof Set, Five Coins with Treasury Seal

1982-S United States Proof Set, struck at the San Francisco Mint and packaged by the U.S. Mint in its original black presentation case. The set contains five proof coins — Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Kennedy Half Dollar — each bearing the S mint mark, accompanied by the bronze-finish Department of the Treasury seal token dated 1789.

The 1982 proof set is notable as the first year since 1964 in which no proof Eisenhower or Anthony dollar was included, following the suspension of the Susan B. Anthony Dollar after 1981. The original outer sleeve marked "United States Proof Set 1982" is present.
