1922 Peace Silver Dollar, Philadelphia Mint
1922 Peace Silver Dollar, designed by Anthony de Francisci and struck in 90% silver at the Philadelphia Mint, which produced this issue without a mint mark.
The 1922 issue is the first year of the high-production, low-relief Peace Dollar design adopted after the short-lived 1921 high-relief variant proved impractical for mass coinage. Philadelphia struck just over 51 million pieces in 1922, making it the highest-mintage year of the series.
