Nambé Steve Cozzolino Trefoil Polished Aluminum Vase, MT0472
A sculptural three-lobed vase designed by Steve Cozzolino for Nambé, executed in the foundry's signature polished aluminum alloy. The form rises from a stepped circular pedestal foot into a fluid trefoil silhouette, three flared mouths joined at a central spine, each lobe swelling and tapering with the rhythm of poured metal. The mirror-bright exterior catches and stretches light across its curves while the interior retains the matte sand-cast texture characteristic of Nambé's hand-finishing process. Underside is marked nambé / MT0472 / © 2011 / Steve Cozzolino.
Nambé has operated from its Santa Fe, New Mexico foundry since 1951, building its reputation on a proprietary eight-metal alloy and a roster of collaborating designers that has included Karim Rashid and Lino Tagliapietra. Cozzolino's work for the house leans into organic, biomorphic geometry — vessels that read as objects of contemplation as much as utility. The triple-mouth design accommodates loose stem arrangements or stands on its own as a tabletop sculpture.
CONDITION
Good and fully functional. Scratches, shelf wear, and signs of use across the polished surfaces consistent with display age. We'll leave the polishing to you.
