Pair of Heinz Schrobenhausen Bavarian Porcelain Hunt Scene Steins with Lids
A matched pair of Bavarian porcelain beer steins by Heinz Porzellan-Manufaktur, Schrobenhausen, Germany, each finely transfer-decorated with hunt-themed still lifes featuring fallen game birds — pheasant, partridge, and waterfowl — arranged with hunting horns, powder flasks, pewter tankards, sporting hats, game bags, and oak leaf sprays. One stein features bold Jugendstil-inspired green linework framing the central cartouche; the other carries continuous wraparound imagery against a soft cream ground edged in green banding. Both retain their hinged domed pewter lids with ball thumblifts.
Heinz Schrobenhausen produced traditional Bavarian porcelain steins through the mid-to-late 20th century, with Jagdmotiv (hunting motif) examples ranking among the most sought after for their detailed sporting imagery. The pair displays well together and translates equally to a bar-back, hunt-themed study, or stein collection. Original maker's labels remain affixed to the undersides.
CONDITION
Very Good. No chips, cracks, or damage to the porcelain or transfers. Pewter lids and hinges function properly. Light residue traces to the underside near the maker's labels.
